These pickups, however, were nearly 20 years old. I'm guessing that the differences vary, and are on the order of the differences between the wide variety of Licensed Floyd Rose trems and the OFRs. To me, Duncan Designed just like GFS pickups are alright pickups that might sound decent in some guitars, but awful in others.
There is usually a noticeable difference once you swap them out for something better, but that can be said across the board when moving up in levels of quality.
