Sam Rowe. Loved this place! Go as early as possible to beat the crowds. C2B Music. July 11, Echo Duplessis. July 8, Jessica Clish. July 7, Its a reasonably pricey entrance fee, so I'd feel ripped off if I left before I'd spent at least 2 hours exploring everything.

I haven't been since just after they opened the canopy walk, so I haven't seen the cliff top thingy, but wandering at a gentle pace, reading the interpretive signage and having a coffee and browsing the shop was a good two hours.

If you are really tight for time, then you could just get over the bridge and back in less than 30 minutes. You could easily see it all within an hour, I feel. It's not a big place. However, it depends on your style and whether you want to sit down and have food, spend your time browsing the gift shop, going to the restaurant across the street, etc.

Interesting gift shop too. The free bus service is also good, we got on near our hotel, but stayed on back to Canada Place to do some exploring on the way back. Robyn makes a good point - there are some lovely free alternatives. I always feel its worth mentioning that Capilano River Regional Park, which surrounds the paid suspension bridge attraction, is free and, while it doesn't have a suspension bridge, it does have a couple of very lovely bridges over the canyon.

Its all in what you are looking for. I would recommend at least 2 hours to "explore" everything. At the price you're paying, I don't really feel justified just to cross the bridge and back. They recently replaced the burger bar with a coffee bar which actually serves some decent local coffee. The new Cliffwalk attraction is interesting and take approximately 15 minutes to walk through and read the signage.

Don't be over sold by the whole walking "glass" idea as you can't see through the glass! This topic has been closed to new posts due to inactivity. Unfortunately Capilano Suspension bridge discounts are only available for residents of BC with valid identification. Locals are able to visit an unlimited number of times for one year with the purchase of a single ticket.

The bridge can be reached in as little as 15 minutes from downtown via three different means. These shuttles are available year round and for guests on a first come first served basis. Keep in mind however that the shuttles are not available for groups of 15 or more.

Check the Capilano Suspension Bridge shuttle schedule here or get up to the minute news following capshuttle on Twitter. From downtown you can also take bus from the North side of W. Georgia Street. For bus schedule and route info you can visit Translink. Expect about a minute drive from downtown Vancouver depending on traffic.

Capilano Suspension Bridge is found in the mountainous area of North Vancouver, across the harbour to the north of downtown. Unfortunately the bridge is not free owing to its massive maintenance fees as well as the availability of many secondary attractions on the site. Those looking for a free suspension bridge in Vancouver should check out Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge.

Anybody taking standard precautions will not be in danger of any kind. Some people are frightened by the gentle sway of the bridge and the dizzying effect of its height — but most report a pleasant feeling of being suspended in the air.

The best time to visit Capilano Bridge is early in the morning shortly after opening and later in the evening. It is suggested to avoid peak hours between am and pm especially on holidays and weekends.
